Newsletter - January 2008 |
| |
| I'd
like to take this opportunity to thank Andrew Barnhart for organizing a great
show at Harford Community College last month. He single-handedly coordinated the
efforts of the musicians, sound crew, lighting and stage crew. Thanks also goes
out to everyone who came out and supported us. -

| Encompass |
| |
| I
wanted to take this opportunity and direct your attention to another great band
in this area known as Encompass. Encompass is a group made up really talented
musicians and theyve got a great sense of writing progressive music in a
format which most listeners would appreciate. When I first saw these guys perform
at Jaxx Nightclub in Springfield, VA I was completely blown away. Their frontman,
Farhad Hossain, has a great sense of melody and can play a mean guitar! The man
behind the kit is Tanvir Tomal, and he is by far the best progressive rock drummer
this area has to offer. These guys are a musical powerhouse and I sincerely urge
you to take the opportunity to see them live on January 4th, 2008 in Washington
D.C. (Details below) I
am making it a point to showcase Encompass in our newsletter because theyve
earned my respect as fellow musicians, peers and as friends. It is also important
that you know that this upcoming show of theirs will be their final show. For
more information about the disbanding of Encompass, be sure to log on to their
MySpace page below and read some words from Farhad himself. January
4, 2008 at the RNR 717
Sixth St. NW Washington, DC 20001
Cost: $5 "We
will be playing an extended set including covers... this will be your last chance
to see us LIVE! Please come out and support us and spread the word and repost
if you can! This will be a special night!"
